Beijing is the capital of China. The metropolis is the country’s second largest city, the hub for China’s government, education and culture. The city has an extremely ancient history and is known for its historic sites. Beijing attractions are plentiful with plenty for visitors to see like these favourites:
Back Lakes
A popular night spot, this waterfront area with three lakes has fine restaurants and a market area open late. The views over the waters are beautiful in the evening.
Capital Museum

Forbidden City
The building with more than 9,000 rooms of the Imperial Palace was first built in the 1400s and renovated in the 1700s. Tours of the palace and grounds are a fascinating step back into China’s history.
Summer Palace
The palace complex has a lovely park area encompassing 290 acres of land with well-kept grounds and a man-made lake. Once the summer home of the emperors and their families, today the public can tour the ornate buildings and stroll through the parklands.
The Great Wall
