China Holidays offer a great Zoo located west of the Beijing Exhibition Centre, Beijing Zoo comprises of over 20 acres of land. Previously known as the Western Suburbs Park, the grounds sport a beautiful landscape of cultivated flower gardens, stretches of grasslands, Asian lotus pools and dense groves of green trees. Currently, the zoo houses 600 animal species comprising of over 7,000 animals. Exhibits are displayed in the natural habitats and ecosystems representing the country of origin. The African Savannah Exhibit features rhinos, tigers, antelope, gorillas and much more. The India Exhibit features white tigers, elephants, chimpanzees, gibbon and giraffes.
One of the most popular exhibitions is Panda Hall. Beautiful giant pandas meander in a 2.5 acre setting of natural beauty. in a sight that your children will be sure to remember as one of their favourite family holidays. The inside of this hall is styled with traditional Chinese gardens and shaped in the design of a Tai Chi pattern.
The Aquarium House is 42,000 square meters and home to sea lions, dolphins and many species of marine life. Underground glass tunnels run throughout this theme park, and one can view the marine life up and close. Exciting sea lion and dolphin daily shows are interactive at the Ocean Theatre, and kids can pet the animals.
A children’s petting zoo is located on the premises, and children can enter designated areas to pet and feed the deer and goats. Also, a children’s play park is available on the premises. Swings and slides surround a beautiful fountain in the centre of the zoo. The cost for admission is approximately A$10 for adults and A$6 for children.
