Hong Kong Museum of History

Reasonably priced and free on Wednesday, this excellent museum is organized according to nine eras. Covering fossils, geology, archaeology, and artefacts from ancient to current, the museum is fantastic and educational.

House of Dancing Water

Experiencing all of the seven emotions is easy during this performance in Macau. A stunning show, spectators in the front four or five rows may get splashed by the waters. Performers follow a story line with stunts and colourful, elaborate costumes and props.

Huanghuacheng’s Great Wall

Called the Yellow Flower Fortress, this portion of the Great Wall requires a moderate trek The Wall and surrounding green mountains and reservoir are gorgeous. The wall has lookouts and photo spots.

Shanghai Ship Terminal and Waterfront

The large tour buses stop at this waterfront area, terminals for the big cruise ships. Especially in the evening, the ships and wharf are is spectacular.

Summer Palace

A must-see near Beijing, the palace complex sits on 290 acres of well-kept parklands with manicured trees and a lake. Visitors can leisurely browse the shop, tea houses, and the many fascinating historic buildings, exquisite temples and mansions.
