China has few actual camping facilities as many prefer to trek across the country and pitch a tent in extremely rural locations to explore and see some of the many hidden China attractions that few get to see. The country has regulations concerning camping and recommends guests find locally recommended areas. Local camping clubs generally meet weekly and may provide invaluable information regarding approved sites and locations. Some facilities cater to RVs only.
